STEP 1: Complimentary
In-Studio Consultation
We invite you to visit our Studio to review your remodeling or new construction plans. We will discuss design possibilities and determine rough budget estimates for Michael C. Lee Cabinetry & Furniture.
STEP 2: Preparation of
Preliminary Budget Estimate
With a rough plan of your project, we can develop an accurate budget estimate. For cabinetry, an architect’s or interior designer’s plans are preferable, but a simple drawing with overall dimensions, locations of windows, doors and ceiling height is sufficient.
If you do not have any drawings of your proposed or existing space, we are available to visit the site and take our own measurements for use of preparing the preliminary budget estimate. There will be a $250.00 fee for this service. The fee will be applied to the cost of the project when we proceed.
STEP 3: Design and Development
of Detailed Drawings
After approval of your estimate, we will develop the final design and generate a fabrication drawing package of your project. Your drawing package will include detailed drawings, an outline of recommended lead times, a payment schedule and an overview of optional services such as delivery, installation and finishing. This personalized service, which may include a series of in depth meetings and all necessary site visits, requires payment of a design retainer. The retainer is approximately 10% of the estimated cost of your project. The retainer will be applied to the cost of the project when we proceed.
STEP 4: Ordering Your
Cabinetry & Furniture
Once the project plan is complete and approved, we require a deposit of 50% (less your retainer) to start fabrication. Future payments are outlined in your drawing package.
